Senator John Bowman, besieged by demons from his military past, pits survival against his democratic and Catholic ideals. Patrick Weller, an arrogant intellectual, discovers a frightening violence underneath his anti-war rhetoric. Fear of their faceless captors gives way to fear of each other.
